My Macan SD ordered in April was due to arrive at the dealer in the first week of October entering production 2 weeks ago according to the print out I was sent by my OPC about 10 days ago. But I got a call to say it had arrived at the dealer on Friday!
While its nice to have it early Im wondering how the timings could be so wrong and how it sped up so suddenly! I thought it would be delayed not come so soon! Not that Im complaining!

Production takes 3 days plus any QA time.

From factory to OPC is in the range 7-30 days, an OPC has no control of this variable but generally they err on the safe side.

So yours has been shipped and transported very, very quickly (guess at 10 days).

Congrats.

Ordered my SD in July, coming tomorrow.

The dealer speculates that there is over-supply of SDs in the system. Orders have fallen off in response to the VAG woes with the Bosch dieselgate scandal

I am being advised there is 4 month wait from order. About to pull the lever on a SD. IS 4 months a reasonable expectation currently?

4 months is a lot less than most people on here waited for their Macans.

Some were well over 12 months!

Welcome to the forum! 👍

Thanks. Deposit paid today. I went for the oil burner. On a test drive the petrol S achieved 23 mpg without being horsed on and to be honest was too refined. I was expecting more of an animal.
