I have had similiar self produced marks.
when cleaning the grill I used by accident a cloth which i had used before to wax my car.
white wax marks were thd result. then I used meguiars ultimate black to make them disappear.

after some weeks when meguiars black washed out they reappeared.

maybe you shhould ask your detailer

It's taken me about 3 attempts to get sun tan lotion off of my leather seats. Had rubbed off in various places where my wife was sitting after being on the beach. Must ask her to wear more than a bikini in the car in future!

The valeter is coming over tomorrow to, hopefully, resolve this.

What I don't want is a temporary fix and and then find the marks reappearing at a later date.

It looks really bad, like those marks superglue can leave behind on plastics.

My advice would be to try cleaning it with diluted isopropyl alcohol and then apply GTechniq C4. The GTechniq products are very good and really darken/protect the plastic for around 6 months to a year.

The trouble you have is if the valeter applies some black goo it will look fine for a couple of weeks and then you are back to where you started once it washes off.

Just to update, as promised.

The valeter returned and has removed the marks using a product called Angelwax Corona.

All looks OK, for now.

Why for now? Well, another conversation I have had suggests that if a tar-glue product was used on those areas it will have damaged the plastics and Corona is only masking the issue for now and the marks will reappear in the months to come.

I wait and see! :|
