I don't like the XC40 but the XC90 is lovely to look at and the XC60 is nice too.
I actually like Volvo as a company and they certainly present themselves well and appeal to a bigger audience now.
Would I buy a Volvo. Probably not as there are other car manufacturers I personally prefer.
Volvo XC40
Yeah it surprises me every time it happens! But it's at a ratio of something like 10 to 1, especially if it's a "sporty" Audi involved. The reality with Porsche is that most typical drivers are actually quite sensible middle-aged types who don't need to prove themselves on the road. I can't honestly remember the last time I saw a Porsche being driven like a twat. It's more or less a daily occurrence with Audis

Yes, this is quite a clever idea.
Volvo admits that young professionals are moving away from buying cars and, as with Lynk&Co, the plan is to offer the XC40 through an enhanced leasing scheme that the company describes as a 'subscription service' and which will be branded 'Care by Volvo'. In the UK, this means one payment for leasing, maintenance, insurance and concierge service, and the ability to swap the car for another model from the Volvo range for up to 12 days a year. The initial roll-out of Care by Volvo will likely be limited to the Greater London area, expanding outwards later.

Interesting.
Swap for a different model for up to 12 days a year, I wonder if that 12 days can be consecutive and what happens to your car during the loan period.
Top of range T5 with 247bhp so if the Volvo weighs less than a petrol S Macan then the performace figures will probably be pretty good. That said the power is still way less than an Audi RS Q3.

A hybrid or electric version could work nicely for school, shopping etc. short runs with occasional access to an XC90 for house / garden tidying!

Sounds good in theory, but in practice it will probably be a load of hassle to swap for the vehicle you need, when you actually need it.goron59 wrote: βThu Sep 21, 2017 12:55 pm Yes, this is quite a clever idea.
