Unlike you mine is a very simple and boring GT silver 911 with black interior so not a lot to get excited about other than it’s a 911 GTS which is, in turn, equally less exciting than Virage’s GT3
The GT3 (and 718 GTS) is agate  ...WingCo you are doing wonders for proper colours!

Someone has to brighten up the monochrome scenery! ;)

Although Rab has a Carmine Red 911 on order... 😎

"I suppose it is what Porsche want. Sell "them" a £60,000 Macan and then give them a shot of a 911 which will become a "must have". :D

We're in the Porsche "family" for life :? :? :?"

I think they call it a gateway drug.

I'm a relative newbie having only got our Macan GTS in October and with my GT3 Touring arriving early February I have no intention of selling the Macan (It will be here for 3 years and probably changed for another new Macan in late 2020)

I find this forum a bit quieter than others I use, but also a lot less controversial with fewer 'egos' stamping on their keyboards

In all honesty if I moved into a 911 of my own it would be a permanent move, I would be stuck in the thing, they are far to low for this old guy with a bad back and shot at hips.

Even the Macan is causing me problems as the seating is just so damn high off the ground I struggle to get out.

So my next car will not be a 911 or even a Porsche.
It was knee problems in getting in and out of saloons that got me into SUVs in the first place. My Cayenne had and my Macan has 18-way seats which raise the height when it comes to getting in and out. When I had a Cayenne S diesel for the day, it had standard 8-way seats and getting out was so much easier. Certainly my next car (decision on Cayenne/Macan waiting until I see what the facelift Macan looks like) will have 14-way seats. I will miss the way the sports seats hold you though.

Can't wait to see your GT3, Martin! :)

I find this friendly forum quieter than Rennlist (991), but busier than the PCGB forum (991).

On-Track wrote: Wed Jan 17, 2018 12:29 pm I hope nobody takes offence because the post is meant to be tongue in cheek ;) It just seems that almost all the long term users are moving out of Macans into 911s or Caymans (or horror of horrors into other manufacturer's products). I can't shout too loudly as I'm very much tempted by the new Cayenne for my next car
Or they just stopped frequenting the forum. It does very much read as an old boys (and one or two girls) club of people who possibly had a Macan once.

Didn't the forum used to be a "Macan Owners Club" - then it got re-homed?

I'm still here, don't post much but read quite a bit. Macan Turbo is almost 2 years old and still love it.

Hopefully another one in a year or so (facelift) but the wife suggested an X5 😩

Having come from an X5 (30D) i much prefer my SD Macan. Smaller nippier and more comfortable. I loved the X5 and had it for 9 years. It was so good I couldn't bear to shovel a stack of cash into a updated version which wasn't really much better.
Macan SD Vocano Grey. LEDs, Pano Roof, PSE, Sports Chrono, PASM, Sports Design Mirrors, 21" Sports Classics in Black, lots of other extras.

Still here with my Macan Turbo, 24,000 miles and a truly brilliant car, carried everything including a kitchen sink and until today not a mark on it (just kerbed a wheel) 😠 Already had my time with 911, beautiful car but seriously not suitable for all round motoring needs and the Macan turbo is more than capable for most drivers. Got the spec right first time (thanks to this forum) although should have got surround cameras. Re previous comments on seating went for 14 way comfort and just great, even the pebble and agate interior still looks like new although have to give the driver seat a regular clean with leather wipes. Already have a replacement order in but want to see the facelift first, so a true to model forum member. Unless I switch to Cayenne 🤔
