Had to run down to Cornwall from Bedfordshire yesterday for a family funeral.

Work commitments meant I had to do the run and back in a day so I far exceeded any daily mileage I'd ever done.

Funeral down in St Just, which is only a couple of miles from Lands End. Total mileage for the day- 690 miles. Managed to tease out nearly 600 miles from one tank in the SD, average 40.7mpg. I must say, I was expecting to be knackered after 12 hours 45 minutes of driving time but it ate up the miles like a trooper.

Highlights were the lovely 18 way seats and lovely ride on the Air. One way in my Beamer on the run-flats was enough for me but I'd quite happily do that run again in the Macan, if I had to.

Have to agree,,,I can only last 2 hours in my 640d theses days, hence the change although I will be very envious of your mpg!....was that at 70+10%...😊...4.5 years on run flats!

Drove from Bristol to Dijon (via the chunnel) a couple of years back when we had the SD on the way skiing.
Similar mileage I guess (600 or so) but I didn’t risk an emptying tank on the French motorways!
Furthest I’ve been in one hit in the GTS is across to Spa Francourchamps (again via the tunnel) so only about 450 miles (and no, I couldn’t do that on a tank of super unleaded!)
But whichever the power, supremely comfortable👍

Does the GTS use more with super unleaded!

I once did about 900 miles in one day. It was in my first car, a little black Fiat Uno. With a 1.2 litre petrol engine if I recall correctly. And the car's electrics did not like wet weather!

Brighton to Weston Super Mare to Scotland and back!

We did 850 miles in our last Q5, from Pt.Grimaud to Worcester. Was making good progress until a puncture at Dijon, then 550 miles at 50mph on the space saver - took about 20 hours overall :(

Did Bucharest to Shropshire in the Macan when moving back to UK in January. A rather leisurely 4 days, total of about 1800 miles. Filled up three times, whether it needed it or not! ;)

Shared the driving with my wife; oh wait .. no, she slept most of the way. I think we did the whole of Austria without her noticing! :D

Not particularly big mileage but three consecutive days of mostly motorway driving from Cheltenham to Begur (Cataluna) last year. About 440 kms and 5 hours each day - the 18 ways and AS we’re sublime. Wish it was that warm right now. 😎
