Right all - new tyres are needed on the Macan Diesel - running 21"....

Original Tyres are Pirelli P-Zero - rears are done, fronts only have 1-2 mm left so am going to change all at once - I have ~16k Miles done on them.

Was hoping for a but more wear so started to look around - have option of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 - anyone used these before?

Will read a few reviews to see what they say - also in the mix could be Continental Sport Contact 5.

Am looking for something with a bit better wear but also good grip...

Thoughts?

You can't go wrong with the Michelin if those are your priorities. I'm running them on mine, but only done 6000 miles to date. Others do report really and relatively long life.

A bit diffucult to compare (driving style / usage etc) but my GTS 20” Michelins were on 4/5 mm at my Free (yes, free) wheels alignment check last month / 14000 miles

On the Rennlist forum, the overwhelming majority tend to favour Michelins over Pirelli, despite the fact that they cost a bit extra.... :geek:

I would go Michelin every time given the choice, although it very much depends on how much longer you intend keeping the car. If its a year or two then the Michelins, if its a few months then the cheapest Porsche approved tyres possible, probably Pirellis. I just bought a set of Michelins for the Vitara from Pneus, great price and no delivery charge to NI. They even have fitting partners here or just budget £30 to get them fitted.

If I keep my latest Macan long term I will look at replacing the 21” Pirelli P Zeros with Michelin Latitude Sport.

The cost for the Michelin isn't much more than the Pirelli - may £40 so worth going for at the prices they are anyway...

Mine are Michelin Latitude Sport 3 rather than Pilot Sport 3. I don’t know how they differ SD on 20in wheels, I think they will do about 20k. Seem good.
