I asked about the reason for the factory shut down while I was going round the Leipzig factory last week. They said the main reason is to redesign the exhaust systems to include a particulate filter for the petrol engines, ahead of new EU legislation next April. Apparently this is a big job for them, hence the shut down and retooling required.

I also asked about other parts of the face lift such as rear lights and removal of switches from the central tunnel. They were a bit more vague about that.

Amazing that’s the lead-time on a GTS. When I bought my SD, was still being quoted 12-15 months on a petrol Macan. First one I’ve seen with white wheels. It works much better than I thought it might. Enjoy!

I rejected my MY17 Range Rover Sport in July last year and was given the option of an early MY18 when it was launched, I took a look at the new model but was very underwhelmed, I felt Kand Rover had cheapened the car both inside and out and put the price up, also touch screens just equal sticky fingerprints, I declined the slot and ordered the Macan GTS, no regrets ...........so far

I imagine those white wheels will be a bugger to keep clean!

Gorgeous! I’ve always had a weak spot for a white car with color-matched wheels (thinking of 80s 911s). Well-done!!

I do like that colour combination and from my experience, white be it car or wheels is not that hard to keep clean as long as you make half an effort at all.
