Ours was first registered 31/03/2017 so I assume it will be exempt from the software update.

This is potentially quite confusing. I'm not aware of any NEW recall campaign. My June 2016 SD was subject to to a recall to tweak the firmware maybe 9-12 months ago (can't remember precisely when), but that's all water under the bridge. There's no current recall showing against my VIN (now that the Porsche database has woken up again today and recognised that what I typed in was actually a valid VIN).

So unless there's a major new recall campaign that hasn't been implemented yet this is all old news.

No recall on my Sep 15 SD. I too had the 'WG22 - DME reprogramming' update done in September last year, but the timing of the article in 'The Week' suggests that this is a new recall.

There have been multiple press reports and all in the second half of May 2018.

Just been told that Porsche have instructed OPCs not to sell any USED or NEW DIESELS they have in stock, not really sure what’s going on but I’m pleased that I sold my SD MACAN ,not looking good for residuals.

When I sold my SD, every contact I knew from my time in the automotive industry was urging me to sell it. I’m still not sure if that was good advice or not. I lost about 27-28% on mine, but who knows if that will have proved opportune or not.

That will certainly help residuals for the current diesel.......happy days
Unless there's a compulsory recall to rectify the cheat software....
