On the whole I like privacy glass but think it somehow looks wrong on a 911 which is very evident in the above photo. Macan looks great and 911 next to it just looks wrong to me. Maybe it's just the rear sides that do it but it looks unbalanced.

Perhaps some sort of conversion could get rid of the glass issue - :o

Not a fan of PG, but think that Gulf Blue 991.2 GTS looks awesome, despite the privacy glass 8-)

No apology needed. ;)

My first two Porsches were silver, and very smart they were too.

It’s just that my yellow 911 makes me smile more. :)

Horses for courses... 👍

My plan was always to have them darkened but the same all round, to the max I could get away with on the front, same on the rears. Such a better look and good for the extra UV protection claimed.
However when it came to the black Panamera, I considered the rear window tints were inadequate so had them done to full black and the fronts done as dark as I could get away with, in fact a bit darker. I love the look. So it depends on the car shape how they suit, and personal taste of course.

The after looks great, ideal for this weather too.

That's my local dealer, all a good experience so far.

I'm a great fan of the Thermally and Noise Insulated Glass. I've got it on my Macan and had it on the Cayenne before that. Interestingly, on the new Cayenne you can spec T&NI glass without the tint. With tint it costs around £1200 and without £700 (which is what it previously cost with tint!).

I have the T&NI glass - it is difficult to know whether it does anything as the car still gets hot in the sun. I do find that if I open the windows for a couple of minutes the AC then copes with it whereas a car I borrowed when buying seemed to need the AC on max for ages before anything happened. Without having 2 cars next to each other and monitoring the temperature I don't see how I could find out how effective it really is though.
