My car is 18 months and 9K miles old, but I do use it for towing my race car and so it probably gets a bit dirtier than some. Although my seatbelt wasn't 'dirty', I have the silver GTS belts and there were a couple of areas where the belt wasn't that clean, either where I grab it to put it on/off, or where it had rubbed against clothing and there had been some colour transfer. And I don't like dirt!

I watched a few videos online but in the end I did the following:

- Pulled the seatbelt full out, lifted the buckle up to the top and then used a clip to hold the seatbelt out with the buckle at the top.
- Unclipped the seatbelt at the bottom on the seat, so now I had a free length of seatbelt.
- Squirted both sides of the belt with all purpose cleaner - I started off using a diluted solution but that didn't get me very far so I changed to neat APC.
- Rubbed both sides of the belt with a scrubbing brush.
- Jetwashed both sides of the belt. When jetwashing you can really see the dirt coming out and the colour changing.
- Left the belt extended in the car to dry overnight.
- Clipped the belt back on the seat and removed the retaining clip holding the belt out.

Job done!

Well there’s a good reason to stick with black seatbelts if anyone needed one! Mine have never looked dirty :D

Yes Col, but there isn’t always the opportunity to do so. To be honest, most people would have said that the belts were clean - I’m just a clean freak.
