My temporary chariot. Nice to be back in a 2.0 Macan.
Black with 21” 911 Turbo wheels. Leather comfort heated seats, LED headlights. Doesn’t seem to have PASM or Air but it does have Sport Chrono. Seems very refined compared to my Carrera T (not surprisingly) and I can barely hear the engine.
And no heated steering wheel!?!

I now hop between my Cayman with PASM on 19’s and our Macan on 20’s with steel springs
The biggest difference by a mile is how quiet and refined the Macan is which is nice as it is the family car. It is a lovely vehicle to waft around in without the need to set your pants on fire which the 2.0 is not able to do anyway

On my Macan Turbo in normal mode temp ranges between 100-102 degrees C and in sport mode 95-97 degrees C. I guess it starts cooling more to get ready for a thrashing .

Latest from Swindon OPC is that they can't replicate the fault, but they suspect a thermostat may be to blame, so they've ordered in a replacement to fit tomorrow morning.

I have always maintained that the standard steel suspension is refined without PASM. My SD on 21” sports classics and P Zeros is just fine.Wing Commander wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 9:00 am My temporary chariot. Nice to be back in a 2.0 Macan.

^^^ Personally, Mark, I agree. I just get a bit fed up of people saying it's a "must have".
A standard basic Porsche model, be it a Macan, 911, Cayman, Cayenne or whatever is still a fine car, and good value for money.
I am clearly not sensitive enough to appreciate the marginal benefits of certain options.

"must have" is an often and over-used phrase given that the poster of the phrase is trying to aggressively impose their personal opinions on others. I have always maintained that there are no "must haves" other than what the purchaser absolutely wants. There is, however, wise advice on options that the asker can choose to take on board or ignore as he or she wishes.
