Porsche 992. Starting to lust...
MY OPC said there will be plenty of S and 4S cars coming so even though there have been quite a number of deposits down for a while, if you ordered now you would probably get one somewhere around June / July, i.e. not very long after first deliveries start happening.
Current Porsches: 991.2 GT3 RS
Previous Porsches: Macan x4 (one of each), Panamera x2, 996x2, 997x2, Cayenne S, Boxster S, Cayman S x2, Boxster Spyder, 991.1 Turbo S, 991.2 GT3 (manual), 718 Cayman GTS (PDK)

A little side by side. I quite like the tougher look.
Looks more like change just for the sake of it, at least in the styling. As much as I love the 911, this just looks like a marketing exercise rather than genuine evolution. But I'll reserve judgement until comparing the driving experience. I'm sure they will have made some progress under the skin, but the cosmetic changes are totally neutral for me. I guess that was the design brief too!

From the interior shots it looks like they'll have to reposition the PCM screen for the RHD models. I suppose the good news from this is that at least it should then be orientated (tilted) towards the driver rather than the passenger (as in the legacy Macan). It's a pet hate of mine!Orangebulldog wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 6:50 am A little side by side. I quite like the tougher look.
Question for (RHD) 991 owners: Is your PCM screen tilted very slightly towards your front seat passenger?

I don't think there is any tilt one way or another as far as I can ascertain.Guy wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 2:14 pmFrom the interior shots it looks like they'll have to reposition the PCM screen for the RHD models. I think we have to remember that this is a major update rather than a completely new model so the changes were always going to be relatively minorPeteski wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 10:21 am Looks more like change just for the sake of it, at least in the styling. ^^^ Hey Rab. Surely 991.1 to 991.2 was a major update (e.g. turbo engines) and 992 is indeed a new model? They keep plugging it as the 8th generation of 911.
