I understand where Semerka is coming from in not being a big fan of her chrome bits but with shiny wheels, it works. Otherwise, it's a necessity to swap out the tailpipes, paint the wheel and wrap the chrome bit.

I doubt your car looks properly resolved, WingCo with silver wheels and dark trim and I would be tempted to get the winter wheels coated. Sorry
Indeed, as I said, to my mind, Semerka’s Turbo looks great, as wheels, window trim, exhaust tips and roof rails all tie together.

And you are right that the most harmonious look is achieved when wheels, trim and exhaust tips are similarly finished.

I’m pleased with the look of my T on its ‘summer’ wheels, but actually like the fact that the car looks noticeably different for a few months when kitted out with its winter wheels/tyres.

If I had silver wheels all year round, my car would look better with silver exhaust tips and window trims, but I won’t be doing that. :)

That's one way of reminding yourself which seasonal wheels you're rolling on. ;)

Spot on.

As we specced the Gloss Black 20" Turbo alloys (but they have some brushed silver on the spokes) the Black gloss styling pack (window surrounds) gives it a more contemporary look and then (really) requires that you go for the Black Sports tailpipes too......whereas if you don't have the Black styling pack it means sticking with the std silver (brushed) exhaust pipes is fine and irrespective of the alloys chosen.

I also went for the Gloss Black door handles to tie into the window trim, alloys and and Black sports tailpipes.
That's how I would spec the exterior of my new Macan now. Looks great from the configurator pictures. 8-)

Congrats. I love my Night Blue GTS. It's a great colour and changes in different light conditions.

When we were buying our 718 and McCann, our SE recommended avoiding Night Blue - Nightmare Blue he called it. Reckoned it was hard to shift on, but I really like it. Classy colour IMHO.

Didn’t have any problem shifting mine on after 14 months and 11k miles for a 9% loss so calling bollocks on your SE
