Build and Deliver
Fixed the p/ex price in May 18. New car was eventually delivered at the end of Oct. Dealer honoured both p/ex and new prices. Tip - get it confirmed in writing at the time you do the deal.

Nope. You can only pester your OPC to see what they can find out from their system...

One more bewildering feature of this purchase process, how can it be that the parent company and subsidiaries offer this feature and the most expensive subsidiary does not!Wing Commander wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 8:58 amNope. We would have told you if that was the case when you first started asking about build progress.

This is the actual build process of a Macan.
As you can see the timescales that Nick and I have listed in this thread are typical of what actually happens but in this case it is for a Macan bound for delivery across the Atlantic but the process is the same.
The unknown and highly variable is the time it takes from exiting the factory to arriving at the OPC. 7 days has been the quickest reported here with another taking a couple of months. My own Turbo took 14 days and the OPC did not know its location until it arrived at their dealership,.
The image is a screen capture from an Admin PC at a dealership, unless things have changed the SE cannot see this information but their Admin can. With the post production variable quoted above you should see that an OPC cannot give a specific pick up date or if they do then the car will have been in their own compound for few weeks which is not ideal from a business cash flow since they are invoiced by Porsche Germany when the car exits their compound in Leipzig.
So if you want to know a specific ask your SE by quoting the V number and if they baulk ask them to find out from their Admin.

I got an email (below) today telling me that my price is 'fixed' because my order has been given an 'A' number i.e. a cars price is fixed at that stage - the 'A' number issue stage. Happy about that
For all new orders we have to provide a letter from Porsche that from 29th March (Brexit deadline) there ‘may be’ a 10% import levy from Germany that would have to be passed on to customers. As your new car now has an A number (commission number) it is price protected. Your V200 shows an estimated delivery time of 10th May.
