The time has come after 23,000 mls, to re shod the rear's. 295 P Zero's, as original make. £210 all in from National Tyres. Got a price online, then contacted my prefered centre, and spoke with them direct. And got a little better deal.
I take my 968 to them also. It's registered with them to notify me when the MOT is due. Get a text, email, and thats half price, also a good reminder. Great service.
New Tyres
On the other hand, I need 2 new rear Michelins on mine a couple of weeks ago (25000 miles) got a price off Black circles (other online sites are available) which my dealership nearly matched (£7 per tyre more) but I did get a Boxster S for the day, a nice coffee and they washed the car!
It pays to shop around but I’ve found that, if approached in the right manner, the dealership isn’t necessarily mega expensive.

Is it true OPC’s are tied to one tyre supplier thus unable to get better deals or is it just service sales Bulls**t

^^^ I’m sure that Porsche can supply any N-rated tyres from Pirelli, Michelin and co.
And I would have thought that Porsche, OPCs and groups of OPCs (like Dick Lovett) must have pretty strong buying power.
I hope that I have similar success to Paul when I need to buy new tyres for my 991, as my usual OPCs are both in the Dick Lovett group.

One drawback of centre-lock wheels is that you are almost obliged to use the OPC for tyres. Doesnt mean I wont shop around for best tyre price and get a fitting only quote! From what I've heard most OPCs are willing to price match (ish) on tyres but prepared to bet that Reading won't...

Anyone using a Jardine Group OPC can use thier price match.
I know of people used and all good.
I would prefer to use porsche to do my tyres (assuming price is reasonable) as if they damage anything I know they will sort it.
Had a tyre replaced recently by OPC but was covered by insurance (nail in tyre) no fuss, no money, just 3 pictures emailed to insurance dealing direct with porsche. First class service by OPC
