Delays at Emden
Looks good at long last.SimonW66 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 7:04 pm Car left Emden last Monday after 2 months waiting for Brexit backlog to clear and “quality assurance”
Arrived in Reading today as Porsche Connect went live and could see it there on my iPad!
Have arranged to pick up on Friday.
Sept 2018 Placed deposit
Jan 2019 order and spec confirmed
April 3rd 2019 car arrives Emden
June 3rd car leaves Emden
June 10th car arrives Reading
June 14th Delivery
What an epic wait - it had better be worth it!!
For what its worth not that long ago the UK wait from deposit to collection was around the 9 months mark.
Some dealers were quoting 18 months for an S and some stopped taking orders (allegedly) for the GTS as they were only getting one or two allocations every other month or so.
That said, drive it the long way hone will convince you it has been worth the wait.
As it is it probably (read that as definitely) not a QA inspection issue more likely they discovered a problem with a specific part and a replacement has been retrofitted. It has happened a couple of times with one being a fuel leakage issue that only effected a specific batch of Macans.

This is all sounding worrying;
Deposit paid in April, told August delivery but I would want to wait until Sept for new plates....fair enough
Still no lock down request
Delivery went from September to Sept/Oct to now end October!
Nicely in time for a price hike from Brexit!

I agree it is sounding very worrying! I am thinking of cancelling my order. I called today and what was supposed to be a September / October delivery is now November....I am told that the policy has also changed and that there is no question now around the 10% hike. It will definitely apply in a no-deal scenario...
I am not sure I can take an approx £7k hit and the uncertainty!!!!
