Off to France on Friday and wondered if anyone knows what colour fuel pump is the 98 Ron petrol?

Also planning to fuel up at supermarkets but if I need to use the toll road service stations will they sell high octane?

I’m pretty sure they’re green (as is 95). My experience is that 98 is widely available and only marginally more expensive than 95.

Just double check carefully as some in the cheaper places the pumps are the same colour I’ve seen when I’ve been desperate.

I had to pay £1.45.9 per litre at my local petrol station recently. I still think in imperial - that's £6.63 for a gallon !

...which can amount to approaching €1.70 at some autoroute stations. Try to fuel up at branded petrol stations in towns as it much closer to U.K. prices.

98 RON pumps are clearly marked. Some of the payment arrangements are a bit strange and varied though - eg having to prepay and thus guess how much you require.

I recently returned from a very long trip taking me across France, Spain and Portugal. Then taking a ferry from Portimão, Algarve to Madeira with my new Macan S . No issues whatsoever in finding 98 Octane fuel. They all green and you should see it next to the 95 pump. Not sure about lower cost, eg supermarkets as most of the time I only refuelled on motorways!

I would try to stick to known brands - the usual suspects plus the French variants. And avoid the supermarket bargains. I filled up at one through necessity and the performance dropped off noticeably. Presumably much higher volumes of ethanol. It could be, though, that the new EU labelling rules have kicked in already - E5, E10 etc which should make those decisions easier.
