What is the truth?
For me it shows a bearable map screen, current speed limit (mainly right!) with current speed adjacent, ID’d visually & verbally all set speed cams near me and gives reasonable route guidance. Basically what I want [emoji106]

Does show better on Macan than on Good Lady’s VW screen (as does Google Maps) - less info on screen. Only been trying a few days though + looking forward to comparing other systems and ideally Google Maps with integrated speed limit and camera info if it ever transpires!

As to “what is the truth” - I suspect that will vary between what you want and how it works on your particular motor. Could be worth just trying the app for its I think 5 day free trial (which I’m doing) and finding out yourself etc.
Google Maps was superb on CarPlay. Until the existing (brilliant) speed camera notifications suddenly vanished a couple of weeks ago!

It’s still (probably) one of the best maps out there though.

The iPhone music via CarPlay is *very* good.

Reverse camera, wireless install with over mirror attachment.
Looks is oem from inside but not perfect from outside if you can be bothered to actually look for it. ..£100
Mandatory dash cam hard wired and discreet.

Putting off chipping 2.0 up to 300 bhp. But itching to do it..lol

'Mandatory dash cam'?

I'd ban them

Had SatNav, Power Steering Plus retrofitted and full colour wheel hubs put on today.

All done by Porsche Reading. Great service and very helpful.

Bought the SatNav kit from a Latvian Porsche Centre (1/3 price of UK Porsche) and Porsche Reading were happy to do the labour.

Still cost stupid money, but did it for the Mrs as she (wait for it!) won’t take her iPhone out of her handbag to use CarPlay! Things you do to keep her indoors happy eh?! :)

SatNav works great and Power Steering Plus is better than I thought - works a treat!

For some reason, CarPlay totally stopped working and appeared to have vanished. However, tip for anyone else who ever has that problem, follow these steps:

1) Press and hold volume button for 1/2 seconds and let go.
2) Press and hold volume button for 10 seconds and then let go
3) PCM will restart and CarPlay will work,

Next? Maybe Sports Exhaust :)

Carplay booked in for install alongside the warranty extension in December. Has anyone used Waze through CarPlay? Thoughts and opinions?

does anyone have experience of removing the interior trim panels? Thinking of wrapping them in carbon from the current piano black.

Are they all easy to remove?

The workshop manual is linked in the first post of this thread: https://www.macanforum.com/forum/engine-technical-discussion/166822-2015-2016-service-manual.html

Have a look at page 2172 for the door trims - I am sure you'll find the dash trims listed elsewhere. (EDIT: Page 2153 onwards)
