Came across a Macan turbo performance. Unfortunately it has what looks like an aluminium interior trim. What sort of price would I be looking at for replacing the trim with a gloss black or carbon trim? Is is fairly easy to remove trim pieces?
On a side note. It’s an OPC selling the car, volcano grey. Sales guy mentioned there’s around a dozen stone chips on the bumper and bonnet - he sent me pics, there’s a few deep ones. He’s offered to have them touched up as they aren’t bad enough to paint the car, should I accept this or walk away? It’s a used 1 owner car.
Macan turbo - replacing interior trim / stonechips?
If you were trading this car back to the dealership, they would have a field day with all these stonechips, reducing your trade in deal drastically, I thought they had a standard where three or more stonechips per panel justified the panel to be re-painted.
Get them to repaint or walk away, there are plenty for sale elsewhere, IMHO, touched up stonechips are worse than actual stonechips!

I did think of asking for a repaint but that can open a new can of worms - bad paint job etc.. they’ve knocked 2k off the asking price, just been serviced and had a recent service. According to the sales guy, if I were coming from 30 miles away he wouldn’t even mention it, as I’m coming from 250+ miles he wanted to mention it before I make the journey. Not sure how I feel about this

Can't answer the trim question.
if you really want this car, suggest they do the repair and place a deposit subject your inspection of the repair.

The aluminium trim is standard turbo spec, don’t know how easy to change them but the component parts via Porsche certainly wouldn’t come cheap and if you were looking to repaint the front bumper and bonnet complete probably north of a couple of thousand. Sometimes the likes of “chips away” can work wonders but on the bonnet section may be a big ask.

Without seeing the chips in person it’s hard to say how bad they are and from some threads I’ve seen - some approved used dealers don’t do the best paint jobs.. I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see what alternative they can offer, to be fair - I’d expect higher standards from Porsche approved used!
