Hi Guys, Looking seriously at the new 2020 Macan Turbo. One thought/concern is perhaps the redesigned large air intakes in the front quarters. Radiators here seem quite exposed ( stones, bird strikes etc.) as a result, what do people think and wonder if anyone has heard of aftermarket grills being available ?

Wondered the same thing. I saw the new Turbo in the flesh and the radiators do look particularly exposed. My GTS is bad enough with stuff getting into the radiators. Lesson learned - do not touch the radiators with anything!! They bend very easily and look terrible once damaged.

I think that it is a bit complicated due to the louvre style grills, i.e. they close / open as necessary to optimize the temperature. They are not static like they are on Caymans, for example.

Also, the Macan is a higher vehicle, so I don't think that it poses as big a problem as it does on the lower sports cars.

I inferred LVision means the two intercoolers rather than the radiator. The intercoolers are permanently exposed, particularly so in the Turbo. However the radiator is only exposed when the louvres are open.

Oh yes, you're right PaulR.
Zunsport make protector grills for lots of cars, but I could not find a Macan on their list.

Was there not a post a while back from an accessory manufacturer looking for volunteers to test his Macan grills?

Yes, there was a post, I think that it was Zunsport looking for a Macan donor.
