Just updated online my 2016 GTS with the second version of the PCM fitted to the Macan sorry not sure of its Version name .

I subscribe to the services from Porsche rather than car connect from Vf. Think it's about £120 per year. Whether thats good or bad value is purely a personal choice.

As a relatively new owner to the Macan, can you fill me in on the subscription services from Porsche, please? My 2016 Macan has a 2016/2017 version of the maps.

I subscribed but Porsche system has failed to find updates for over 2 years... to the point the OPC updated from SIM last Autumn. Don’t know what to do about renewing next month. ‘16 SD

You can register here, you are looking for Navigation information, this is with Porsche not Vodafone. Once you register you can add your car.

Col M have you tried connecting the car to you home wifi, then downloading. Its pretty easy to do although cannot remember exact sequence.

The info below was also posted in the " Which Nav version do you have? "
thread but I've also included here in case anyone interested is not aware of the above.

Car built Nov 2016 and registered Jan 2017. The PCM4 has Connect Plus and a live subscription.
Up to Oct 2019 we had previously tried online updates, connected to the home wifi and always failed to locate any.

The car went to the OPC at the end of Aug 2019 and we were informed they could not locate any outstanding updates. Furthermore, although the suggested SD-Card, part-number 9P1.909.000.AL. was for a PCM4 Maps update, it was not compatible with our PCM4 software version and they did not know when the updated maps would become available.

Fast forward to Jan 2020 when the car went to the OPC for its first MOT.
On collection, we were informed they had identified an outstanding update that they carried out over the air, (no SD-Card was required). It appeared the previous issue of not being able to locate updates over the air has now been resolved. The update is dated as the year 2020.

To register go here https://connect-store.porsche.com/gb/en/ Top right hidden is a login/register link. Make sure you select the car on LH side to see the cost of various packages.

Given how poor Porsche are at all this stuff it puts me off buying an EV from them because Tesla wins hands down on integration and for an EV ecespically in its early days the algorithms controlling charging and battery us are tuned as information is collected from the cars in the real world.

I find Waze a bit like something a 15 year old would have developed, perhaps its the stupid looking icons for waze users that appear unless you switch them off. That was enough for me to lose interest.
