Hi All,

New to the forum. I have recently purchased a Macan S Diesel 3.0 (2015).

Enjoying the car, and to say it’s nearly 5 years old, and by far the oldest car I have ever bought, it really doesn’t feel like a “5 year old car” I think the looks are still very modern. Plus I have managed to find one that has less then 12k miles on the clock (that won’t last long!)

Thanks.

Welcome Adam, it looks good, I can’t imagine why someone would by a diesel version when only averaging just over 2000miles pa. who cares it’s your gain, get some miles on it now 👍

Nice find Adam, I think the reference to being 5 years and feeling like new is a tribute to the build quality our cars enjoy.

Happy driving.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

I was looking for more for a while, but ending up actually purchasing it from my Dad (I bought it from him, as he became too ill to drive). It was just gathering dust in his garage. I fulled expected him to drive it more, but you never know what is round the corner do you!

I have a job that results in me usually doing 25k miles a year (post COVID), so the diesel should help with this.

My last car was an Audi A5 and although it was only 18 months old, I had no end of issues with it, so I am hoping for something more reliable (even in a 5 year old car!)

Thanks.

Welcome. I also have the diesel version, 3.5 years old and 18k miles, I thought that was low! What’s the spec?

Welcome :D :D :D

I still feel that my Macan is quite new - 32,000 miles. I suppose a Porsche ages slower than other cars :D :D

You really shouldn’t have much bother with it. Most owners forums have lots of stories of issues with whatever car the forum is about but you rarely read on here of many problems.
