Hi all,
I realise that there is a parallel thread running on how many Macans have Transfer box issues.
However I thought a separate thread might be useful which focuses on the list of the “symptoms” that signal the end of the road for your Transfer box (good for future reference perhaps?).
So what is it that a typical Macan driver should be looking out for when it comes to a faulty Transfer box?
Transfer Box - the symptoms to look out for
When I reported mine, prior to replacement, I found that if pulling away (moderately) from a junction, with either right or left lock on, the rear felt as if the traction control was kicking in. This was regardless of the ambient conditions or road surface.

No - in 'normal' drive. OPC service technician diagnosed transfer box failure within a few minutes of road test. Now runs silky smooth with new box.
^^
Sorry, meant to say that the “approved” test is to reverse on lock in off road mode (to answer the OP)
