Using an SD card on my 992 (guessing the PCM 4 is similar on the Macan)

So, not sure if you mean how many songs it can read per file? If that's what you meant, 1000. I thought I'd messed something up when transferring them so did it again, still 1000. Then had a good search and found what quite a few have already said about the file limitMadelvic wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 4:46 pmHow many files are supported on the card in the Gen 2?Rarecolour wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 6:41 am I had a quick look last night and couldn't really see many usb-c ones, so just ordered a sandisk 128gb extreme card.
Now got the joys of getting my music onto it. I put all my music on to iTunes many years ago and can't remember the quality I selected, might just do it all again if I have a few days spare.
After having a good read back through this forum, I've now started to re rip all my cd's as FLAC via Windows media player. Me and the wife have used iTunes for years, cause she's an iPhone user and we have around 4 ipods that we've put music on over the years. I just transfer the music from there to my andriod phone and play it through the Poweramp app (great app).
I'm hoping that I've set Windows media up correctly so I can transfer the files straight on to the sd card and they'll work in the Macan.
Gonna take a fair amount of time to do it all.

If you back up your i-phone / i-pods to your computer (PC) you can just drag the complete i-tunes folder onto an SD card; all the artwork etc appears on the PCM screen too.

Cause like a dork, when I ripped all my cd's to iTunes many years ago I didn't change the settings and they were at a low quality.
Now doing them at FLAC.
