The first year road tax is an extra £2,245 for most models. Some sneak in at the slightly lower £1,910. This plus the DVLA registration fee (£55) is added onto whatever the confuserator quotes.
Current - Macan III GTS
Previous - Macan II GTS, Macan I GTS

This is defiantly worth taking out else you could end up with a nasty bill of your car is written-off or stolen. I think that was about £650 if I remember correctly and lasts for 3 years.
You can get GAP insurance quite a bit cheaper than from the dealers. I used ALA for my last new car purchase (Discovery 5) which was roughly the same value as the Macan and it was about £350 for 3 years.

I used this discount code when I bought my GAP insurance from ALA:-

Use this MSE ALA Gap Insurance link and get 25% off the standard price, when you use code MSE25. The discount code is available as long as you buy by 31 Dec 2023.

Yep. All cars over £40,000 cop this extra tax plus increased Road Fund Licence for the first 5 years.. It’s nothing to do with Porsche you can blame George Osborne.. remember him!!

so how is mine showing as £1,910? Is it some kind of thing individual dealers do as an incentive, and they pay the difference?

I have absolutely no idea. Assumed all Porsche dealers would charge the same. Mines £2,245. They did say it went up recently but that could just be the RFL part of it.
