Hi all,

Picked my 2016 Macan GTS up last week from HR Owen. Bit of a delay as they'd put it into Porsche for a service and front discs and pads. Very pleased with it! Makes a lovely sound when it starts up in the morning. I've attached some pics.

The 18 way seats are good when chucking it through corners and the Comfort Access whereby the seats and steering column move to help you in and out of the car is a nice touch.

Something I can't work out is whether it has Apple CarPlay - I thought all GTS' had it but doesn't appear so from the PCM. Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Welcome.

If you take the VIN to any Porsche OPC they can printout the actual spec of the car.

Apple Car play was not a standard feature, it was a paid for option.

Wire up your iPhone via the USB socket inside the armrest and if installed the menu system will pop up asking if you want to use Car Play.

It can be added retrospectively btw, search this forum for posts on the very subject.

Downside is some features require a chargeable subscription of c£120 a year and you will need to create a My Porsche account, an OPC will help if you have troubles.

GTS looks great

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I'm reasonably certain that Apple CarPlay only became available with the Gen 2 cars (MY 2020). I'm not an expert as I'm an Android phone user and Android Auto is still not available on the Macan.

Enjoy your GTS.

Thanks for the replies everyone - really helpful.

Haha - hopefully it doesn't get cloned - there's a lot of cars on AutoTrader getting cloned if so!

Yes, it is in Volcano Grey with black interior and the black 21'' Sport Classic wheels, Sport Chrono and air suspension. Pleased with it thus far.

Cheers

I have the 2016 brochure online and it says CarPlay is included with either of two options. 'Connect' code IU2 (£422) or 'Connect Plus' code IV2 (£801)

As mentioned get the dealer to print you off the spec.

Other way to find out is to plug the iPhone into the USB in the armrest box, then go to 'Home' button. The bottom right icon is 'Car' and will change to 'Apple CarPlay' if you have that feature

Welcome aboard but be aware that with comfort access any rear passenger gets squashed if they're not quick enough to get out!
