Are you able to share how this was dealt with?
I said I'd reject the car (which is genuinely how I felt at the time)...then wait however long for a new one, knowing they could probably sell the mis-specced one at above list due to demand...but SWMBO talked some sense into me...so some corporate hospitality and a discount helped

Going back to the original question, no problem with the spec, just bloody order! I decided, on paper, the Macan S was my next car, short of any showstopper cropping up. Saw one in the showroom, fine. Sat in one, fine. Took a test drive, fine (wife drove too and agreed it actually wasn't the tank she claimed on first meeting :) ). Had a 24 hour test drive in a base (no S on the road in March '19), fine. So fine in fact that when I returned it I was waiving my card around saying "let's get the deposit down". Unfortunately, however, the OPC had a technical IT problem and couldn't get the order into their system. "No problem, Match orders lockdown tomorrow but we can get it sorted in the morning" says SE. Next morning faff about with paperwork, receiving, printing, signing, scanning, sending back, money changing hands, Only to find at 12:00 that the factory locked the orders at 09:00, "nothing to be done". :x :x :x June delivery went back to July and when it did arrive, mid August after WLTP nightmares then they decided to only register it on 1 September! Would have been nice if my opinion had been asked, that's all :( As I recall there was only one spec change made, addition of Comfort Lighting after my wife had a conversation with a couple in the OPC who were waiting to collect their Macan from the Service Dept. Bliss ever since......

I have experienced an incorrect build spec code on a used Macan S 2020. Code is stated as VC on dealership database which is listed as mahogany leather interior, but the car interior is definitely black seats and trim.

Those are pretty big options to not have when they've been specced, I'd have been very close to rejecting too.
Do you regret taking the car, or don't you miss the options that much now you have it?

I've just picked the car up today....some logic from the female side of the household put it into perspective...such as waiting another year for a replacement...the dealer also looked after me...

So, have now moved on...and look forward to enjoying the car
