Bosch Rear Wiper for Macan
After just changing my rear wiper blade for a Bosch A402 H using the original adapter I contacted Bosch to ask why they didn't supply either the adapter or a correct 400mm blade instead of the A380H which they recommend but is 20mm shorter than the OEM. They have replied to say that if I require a 400mm blade (which I do because I'm a bit OCD about those things), they have just released a multifit 400mm blade complete with four adapters, one of which (No2) fits the Macan arm. They are £12 and exclusive to Halfords online at the moment, but will be distributed widely at a later date. The part number is AM40H (3397016509) and advertised as new on Halfords Website
If you buy the Bosch rear wiper from Halfords, let us know how you get on. I now have Bosch wipers all round and I can verify that the rear blade is very quiet in operation, unlike the original factory fit that scraped across the screen

7 day wait for click and collect. Not gonna bother
Replaced the blade this morning using a new Bosch A402 H from Amazon. It works a treat and far superior to the OE one in hugging the screen to clear it.
I waited to change as my GTS had its first service yesterday.

I had Bosch all round on my Gen2 definitely better than the originals.
However, the rear wiper on my 9 month old Gen3 car has been irritating me badly, I think from new, with its rasping, stuttering, nails down the blackboard racket. Tried the WD40 trick, very sceptical, it actually worked but quickly wore off. So I ordered a replacement from Halfords, Click & Collect. Whipped the (not very) old one off when I got home took the new one out of the box, bleed'n idiot, it was the wrong one a 402H all metal and old fashioned instead of the above recommended AM40H I had intended! Back in the box it went, back on went the old wiper, back on t'internet went the muppet. However, Halfords.com would NOT let me order the AM40H for my car, WTF? So for the hell of it I ordered their own brand W303 only £5.49 at risk. Swapped but not fitted the next morning en route to the PCGB JLR visit. By the time I got home it was apparent that the issue has been cured! That was three weeks ago, the rear wiper has had lots of use since and never a squeak from it!
I must havd put it back on the wrong(?) way round, is it possible there's a right and wrong way to fit them and it was done wrong in the factory, or between build and first use they deform in some way?
Regardless, if your rear wiper is playing up remove it, detach the clip, turn 180⁰, replace and see if it's cured. Only 2 minutes!
No, the Halfords own, W303, never came out of the box, took it back next time I was passing but it looks a better match for the original than the 402H. Apologies for duplication?
