When pulling off and turning sharp left or right from stop at a junction my MY 2015 Macan Turbo is now making a loud "Clack clack clack clack clack" until I straighten out. This mainly occurs if I have to pull out with a "bit of acceleration" (or fast !) I can't be sure where the noise is coming from (front, rear, middle?).
Generally the car is not (yet?) showing symptoms usually associated with the dreaded Transfer box (i.e. not jerky through low gears, no clunks when reversing, etc).
It's booked in at a "Porsche Specialist" garage in a few weeks time but, while I sit and ponder bad news , has anyone experienced this or have any knowledge of others with this problem ? The car had an MOT last week and there was no mention of split gaiters (CV joint issue?) or anything.

Yes, typical failed CV joint noise when steering is off centre. Otherwise something silly like a stone in a disc guard or piece of metal in a tyre? Sometimes reversing and turning lock to lock can shift a trapped stone.

My 2017 SD has the same or similar issue, although not only when pulling away fast.
Where i live is on a bit of a bank, say 1 in 3 (ish), i pull out ot the junction, turn right up the bank and can here what seems like a muffled rattle coming from the suspension on the right front wheel, same happens when turning left but the noise then comes from the left wheel.
Not being mechanically mionded i assumed this was something to do with the traction control or ?????
Another sympom i have noticed is that it appears to change gear immediately after pulling away under right hand lock (right turn) but it isn’t actually changing gear, so like from 1st to 2nd feels like 2 gear changes.
Any ideas anyone? Car has full service history with 34k on the clock.

1 in 3 is actually one hell of a bank (33% in current gradient parlance). Does this problem only occur on this bank or whenever you pull away while turning sharply?

In that extreme I'd suspect its loss of traction, wheel spin, slippage possibly a better word. I've had similar on a very steep junction close to home though rarely used.

I notice this mostly on the bank but it is noticable at other times when turning in either direction. I assumed that cos this is the first junction after starting the car up it was maybe due to being cold and under a heavy load?
Just to close this off :
9 months later, and after it getting a lot worse, finally got the problem checked out & fixed at OPC Reading. It was the front driveshafts / CV joints. New pair of front driveshafts fitted for approx £1750 inc VAT - fortunately paid for by my (3rd Party) warranty.
