Thought I would try out the new ceramic wash from Gtechniq…

Firstly, it is rubbish as a wash product. I usually snow foam, rinse, then mitt wash. I found I had to wash with normal Gwash, rinse, then use the Ceramic Gwash to get the best results.

Leaves the car very smooth, superb shine, beads REALLY well but do not use on the wheels, especially if you have the Porsche Surface Coated Brakes!

I have a Carmine car and this is also a non metallic. I’ve found through trial and error that the best shine I can get is as follows:
Snowfoam
Rinse
Mit wash with Gtechniq shampoo
Dry with “guzzler” drying cloth (fantastic product)
Water based detail spray with microfibre noodle mit

The drying cloth needs to be washed WITHOUT fabric conditioner and will then immediately soak the surface water with no smears whatsoever.

Don’t think brand of shampoo is that important as long as good quality but my car is ceramic coated by Gtechnic so stick with for now. I can also get a great shine by forgoing the detail spray and just “rubbing over” with the noodle mit when dry…

I find the product to be fine. Two bucket wash again, after trying a one bucket method using multiple mitts. Snow foam, rinse, wash, rinse and rinse again with filtered water. Go for a spin around the block to get rid of water in crevices. Dry off what little there is left with a blower.

Not had any issue with any Gtechniq product.

Having a more powerful jetwash machine produces a vastly superior snowfoam.

Two buckets.

Use of Fall Out Remover

Finishing off with Quick Detailer

All helps.

Which reminds me, car looks crap now, cleaning job for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

I really rate Gtechniq, it’s my go-to… however the Ceramic Gwash does not foam, and didn’t do a great job of removing any dirt, hence I wouldn’t recommend for washing the car. Use it after washing, and it’s perfect.

Agreed on the pressure washer too, have replaced the Karcher with an AVA…. Different league altogether.

I use Gtechniq Fall out first as and when it is required

Then Citrus Foam mixed with hot water in the snow lance bottle, when coated I leave it to soak for five minutes.

Jetwash Rinse

Then I use Gwash and two bucket method

Followed by a rinse with softened water

Pat dry, job done
