Oscar2,
Is the guy in Peterhead a wheel specialist / Porsche specialist or did he just happen to have the small wheels for sale?
How did you find him?
Best regards,

Hi, the guy just advertised them on gumtree, he had used them as a winter set and sold the car. I had 21” wheels on and put 18” for winter doesn’t look as good. A bit moon buggy but a great drive really like them, hope this helps cheers

I always “downsize” for winter tyres. Currently my Volvo is on 20” summers and winters went on today - 18”.

Porsche is coming on 20” but when I acquire winters I’ll be looking for 19” wheels.

Col Lamb - 15th Nov.

Col,
Read your note and absorbed it.
Have ordered a base model Macan (265) with PASM AND adaptive air suspension. Delivery about April 2023.
Took out an S with 21" wheels, PASM and AAS for an hour from Porsche South Lakes.
It drove much more comfortably than the standard base Macan i had.
The new one should do even better with 19" wheels, PASM and AAS.
Sold the Macan to PSL with 6600 mls on the clock - good price just now!

Thanks for your ministrations.
Best, Spud23

I suggest you ring all the Porsche dealers in the North to see if any has a demo Base Macan on 19” wheels with air suspension and if you can find one then arrange an extended test drive.

Apart from South Lakes there is Preston, Bolton, Cheshire Oaks, Wilmslow, Stockport and Leeds all within reasonable travel distance.

19” and air is as good a ride as you are going to get from a Macan irrespective of what engine is under the bonnet, but that said with the base engine being smaller in size and hence of less weight the front end will be lighter damped within the configuration of the suspension and that should help in giving the best ride.

If you cannot find one then ring the PEC and explain what you want to drive there and see if they can accommodate you. I would not lock down my spec until I had driven a turbo on 20” wheels with air suspension and the PEC accommodated me.
