"Luxury SUV reliability rating 90.3%

Owning a luxury SUV is an aspiration for many drivers, but they are among the most troublesome and costly types of car to live with, especially if you pick a model with a poor reliability rating.

While the Porsche Macan (2014-present) achieves a creditable 98.0% and is the top scoring luxury SUV, the Land Rover Discovery (2017-present) only racks up 70.7%, making it the least dependable luxury SUV.

As well as being great to drive and classy inside, the Macan is proving pretty reliable, with only 13% of the cars we were told about going wrong. The most common complaint was about bodywork issues, followed by non-engine electrics. All costs were covered by Porsche, and 67% of Macans were back on the road in a day or less."

You wouldn't think the Macan was 98% reliable when you read this forum! Honest John's customer satisfaction survey revealed Lexus top, Porsche a credible 4th, Dacia was 2nd.

My two Macans have been 100% reliable....to date!

Complaints outweigh compliments on this and most forums. Hence posting some "good news" here. ;) :)

Satisfaction surveys are best taken with a pinch of salt. Dacia, for instance, offers cheap and cheerful models. They don't have a lot of high-tech content, so there's less to go wrong. But buyers recognise that the cars are cheap, and have a built-in expectation that they won't be great. When buyers discover the cars are OK-ish, they're satisfied.

I remember chatting in the mid-1970s with the dealer principal of a big Ford dealership. He also owned a Lada dealership. He said he made more profit from the Ladas than from the Fords. Evidently, the Lada buyers were generally unsophisticated (often elderly people buying their first new car). The cars were so cheap that nobody asked for a discount. And, because they were cheap, people weren't overly surprised when bits and pieces went wrong, and rarely asked for warranty work.
