Mrs Happy and I are off to Germany later in the year and will be doing a bit of touring around. Anyone driven any good roads around Frankfurt / Black Forest / Rhine Valley?

There's also the 'Romantic Road' if you'd rather do North-South than the Castle Tour's East-West! https://theplanetd.com/romantic-road-germany/

Thanks for the suggestions, much appreciated. Mrs Happy is currently favouring the northeast route along the Rhine to Koblenz then along the Moselle valley. I'm sure ChatGPT will generate some useful alternatives too!

Best driving road in Bavaria is the B500 either from or to Baden-Baden. Avoid weekends in the summer as it gets very busy with bikes.

Nail hit firmly on its head.

Want to know the Best Roads, search out those used by Bikers.

Travelled from Holland to the Harz region on one bike trip and on another bike trip again from Holland but this time to the Moselle and Rhine.

Great roads.

Rather low speed limits that are enthusiastically enforced have been introduced along the B500, so it’s not as much fun these days

And speed cameras that look like this - difficult to spot especially in built up areas where they disappear amongst the clutter:
