In case it helps any Macan owner on here I can now use the diamond button on my 2018my Macan S to change to next track on CarPlay as well as Bluetooth connections.
Not sure when this changed - my car had its OPC 4 year service and PCM update in July, before then I know the diamond button didn’t work with CarPlay and now it does
hth
Steering wheel Diamond button and Apple CarPlay now working…..
Thanks for that Connoisseur - I had CarPlay retrofitted to my 2016 SD in 2019 and the diamond button doesn’t work for next (or previous) track - even after a service a couple of months ago.
Will chase up OPC + see if it’s possible to sort it for a retrofit job

Can you please let us know what version of the PCM you have? It should be in Car > Settings > Version information. My 2021 Macan S has the diamond button issue with Carplay and my "Version software" is MH2p_US_PO416_P2852. The version here is "2852".

Do you have a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Macan?
The diamond button worked for CarPlay next track on my Gen 1 but can’t get it to work on my Gen 2. Very annoying!

I’ve got a 2018 Cayman and have set the diamond button up to skip to next track.
I have a MY23 Macan T on order. Will I have to use the same setup there? Presumed Porsche would have improved the CarPlay integration by now. What does the button above the M on the steering wheel do? It looks like >|
