Marry a German

I was quite impressed with my wife just now. She’s German and that was already a useful thing because (a) my in-laws don’t speak English so I don’t have to deal with them, and (b) when you say you’re thinking of buying a Porsche her response is “of course” - to her it’s just a regular car like everyone has.

Anyway we were just sitting in the living room and she saw a car drive past the window. She told me it was a Porsche. I asked what model of Porsche it was (wondering if it was one of the SUVs or something sportier), and she said she wasn’t sure but it was light blue. As expected so far. Then, to my surprise, she paused and said, “well, it was a 911 but an older one and I didn’t see enough to tell whether it was a 993 or 996, or which variant it was”. She’s not especially interested in cars so I guess this is just the basic level of knowledge for a German lady and they teach it in school or something.

She surprises me sometimes.

Same here....in fact, she calls mamba green the colour of the sickness emoji and one of the blues (can't remember which one) the Ford blue
