CarPlay and software update

I presume you are going to get this via an OPC rather than a back street hack.

My Car Play was active at handover and updates worked for a while then following a service visit and OS update I found quite a while later when I tried to update the Maps that it would not happen.

Whilst it may not be required on your motor mine needed a known OS Patch to remove this bug in the OS.

When questioned the service guy checked and this patch is not applied during a routine service but only if an owner is having map update issues.

Was going to go to a cider who has done it on my merc
I understand it’s the same software/files he will use the opc will?
