Just picked up my new macan and was wondering if there is a way to make the exterior mirrors automatically change position when reversing?

I would phone the dealership but they are a bit of a nightmare.

Or read the manual :-)

Without going out to look at the car I recall there is a button that needs to be on?

On my 2017 Macan this can be set in the car settings in the 3 rd dial on right PCM? You are able to set the n/s mirror to dip down when reversing.

If you have 14 way seats, or the Memory Package, you should be able to configure the passenger door mirror to automatically drop to your preferred kerb view position.

.... then when you're in reverse with the mirror "dipped" you can adjust it to the way you want it and commit it to the memory so it returns to that position in future. IF you have the memory option.
OPCs are no use for such queries, make a note for your Masterclass, search the manual or this forum. If they fail post the question, one or two will react grumpily but if its not TOO obvious or TOO often, I'll not be one of them!

The other alternative is to get to know your local OPC's 'Prosche Pro' guys, our OPC in Tewkesbury have two who know their cars inside out and have a far deeper knowledge than your SE will ever have for these kind of questions, I would recommend you ask that a Prosche Pro does your Masterclass then you have a good contact going forward. As they are not trying to sell cars they are normally available when you call the dealership as the role is not so customer facing as an SE. Enjoy your new Macan

Yeah, when I attended my masterclass , James the Pro expert told me I could ring him anytime for future queries.

I think they 'all' want to eventually become SE's but at least an ex Porsche Pro who is now an SE will 'hopefully' know his stuff eh!!!!
