What about those of us who had a Macan and have another one coming? Do we count?? 😂
"And have another one coming?" What's that all about then, thought SWMBO had confiscated your Manculator on that idea?
She’s keeping the Boxster (until GTS 4.0 end of next year) so I’m getting rid of Kia and going ahead with Macan allocation. I think it will lose less than Kia will in the interim but it will become the dog car to a certain extent. Manculator rescued from the bin but she may not necessarily know about the deposit I put down two weeks ago.., 😳

Yes for a while, until I chop the Macan in for the BGTS. I did enquire about that demo black Macan GTS at £75k but unsurprisingly it had a deposit already on it 🥴

Transparency; That's what keeps all good relationships going, so says all my three previous wifes...

So March build, May delivery. Let's hope the Porsche bean counters stay away from pricing before your order is locked in 👍

hahahahah!!

I think it is best for manufacturers to hold prices, massive downturn incoming!!! Hearing some scarey stories - so glad I bought new tyres for the 992 (and didn't buy a Taycan Turbo a while back)
2016 Macan GTS - Volcano Grey and a few extras (SOLD)
2020 992s - Crayon and a few extra, extras

I know it's a poor comparison but Marvin Gaye says that Rolex are uping their prices from January :o

Perhaps 10 years but probably not I think. Hydrogen powered cars are EV’s using a fuel cell to convert to electricity chemically.
I think we should have a choice as to what we prefer as that seems to make most sense for most folks 🤷‍♂️
No fuel cell, just burning hydrogen direct. As in:

I don’t think it’s actually been done DJM, the article talks about a theoretical system performed in a virtual reality?
Just don’t see hydrogen as the answer even in fuel cells let alone direct combustion - it’s a catastrophe waiting to happen wherever it’s stored.
Something will come along though in due course I’m sure and then we will have even further choice - that’s got to be a good thing right?

When the truth all comes out EVs etc will probably be found to be way more polluting than petrol, especially if someone was ever allowed to develop new filtration systems that eliminated the few gases that remain (which they wont be allowed to do of course).

Oops, forgot, EVs are already more damaging to the environment than ICE cars.

This morning he had to get up at 7 to go to a charging point as he only had 48% left and didn't want to risk topping up on the way home and getting stuck in a queue on the motorway services. He came in 90 mins later having charged up to 65%.

It is that sort of effort that makes me say "No thanks" for the time being.
Agreed but non of that makes it a bad car, just that he couldn’t charge it at his dad’s house! 😂
I did offer, but he said it'd be quicker at a fast charger a couple of miles away than a 13 amp socket for 36 hours.!! He was lucky. One of the two chargers was actually working and not in use by someone else .

I’ve got nothing against EV cars, just the costs involved in wasted time and resources.
