It is happening but I do not know what the actual effects will be on our Macan.

I have a Data SIM from 3 and as that shows LTE so I think that is 4G.

Online services paid via subscription uses an embedded SIM but I do not know what that uses.

Vodafone’s Tracker Connect? No idea if this will be affected.

I would presume that newer models will be OK its just us with the older Macan’s that may or may not be effected.

Anyone know for sure?

The last time I read up on this I seem to remember that it was going to be about 2033 before the major operators in the U.K. switched off their 2G/3G networks

So some time yet but as you suggest I suspect that at that time Porsche will just not be interested in helping you upgrade if you need to!

LTE is not 4G, it's a name for a faster version of 3G

Vodafone are nearly done with 3G so we will soon find out.

Every UK mobile network has committed to switching off their 3G network. Here at Vodafone, we’ve already switched off our 3G network in several locations across the UK and our final phase will take place in January 2024.

How will that affect the operation of the Porsche tracker system?
