I've heard of some UK cases where thieves are ripping the headlights out of Porsches.

Not sure if there are UK registered vehicles amongst these.

Yeah, seen that before. They can sell them on.

Shocking the mess they make.

Re: the green Taycan in the pic, I read that the high-power headlights were stolen for use in cannabis farms. No idea whether that's true, but an intriguing thought.

That's got to be a bigger market than fitting them in other cars, so could be so.

A close friend of my wife’s was renting out her house on a long term let. Excellent tenants, always paid in advance, but long story short, had turned the house into a cannabis farm, primarily using just the loft I think.

There had been several visits by the managing agent based on suspicions from neighbours before the truth was finally uncovered and police became involved.

The point of my story, on asking the police what to do with the equipment left behind, primarily the lamps, wife’s friend was told by a police officer to sell them on eBay!!!

I certainly heard about the cannabis farm theory.

Brother had that happen with one of his flats, the electricity usage skyrocketed.

Called the Police.

The renters did not get their deposit back.

A bit closer than you think. The Taycan is in Düsseldorf and some of the others are Amsterdam, if you look closely on one you can see the front yellow reg plate beginning with “NL”
