I sold Fords in the late 70s / early 80s when a very similar colour, Roman Bronze, was quite popular - often in tandem with a Tan vinyl roof - and just about every manufacturer had their own equivalent.Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 12:43 am How about the brown? . My first proper job (in the late seventies) was working in a motor factors as a Refinishing Representative, so colour matching and on-site tinting was part and parcel of the job. Roman Bronze was a PIG, with literally hundreds of variants; looked great on Capris and Grenadas.
Now I know why I wasn’t considering Miami Blue at the moment with this in my driveway …..

I had a bronze Capri in the 70s, and it was badly damaged when I got tailended on the North Circular Road (I was stationary at traffic lights). The repairers had several goes at repainting it, before I was happy with the result!DiverNick wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 10:06 am Roman Bronze, those were the days!

I actually don't mind Mahogany.... It's more interesting than Volcano, Night Blue or Black.Bluesnose1812 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 12:43 am How about the brown? . You would be unique with this spec. http://www.porsche-code.com/PN8ET846
It is an interesting colour. But not at all popular in the UK. Did I read that it's popular in Asian markets?mistercesq wrote: ↑Mon Nov 22, 2021 6:24 pm I actually don't mind Mahogany.... It's more interesting than Volcano, Night Blue or Black.
