Ohhhh, did they indeed. I have not moved on the Macan GTS as yet, EV Macan is an option - if it’s slightly bigger (I think it might be).

There is just nothing else I really like, Defender closest option.

Wonder when EV Macan will be shown……
2016 Macan GTS - Volcano Grey and a few extras (SOLD)
2020 992s - Crayon and a few extra, extras
2022 Land Rover Defender 110 D300 HSE X-Dynamic Black, 7 seats and a load of extras

Isn’t a slightly bigger Macan a Cayenne coupe??

I stuck a deposit down with my local OPC back in October. Fully refundable in case the EV Macan doesn’t tick all the boxes (and in which case I’ll just transfer it over onto a GTS 😅)…

I’m really hoping it drives as well as my current turbo but has a real world range in excess of 300 miles (fingers crossed).
I’d be really happy if they upgrade the lights to Matrix … had these on my 992, RS3, and RS6 and they are fantastic.
A HUD option would be nice too if they could squeeze it in the dashboard.
Other than that, keep it the same size as the current Macan.
Any other options currently missing on the current ICE range you’d like to see added?

The Macan EV will be a great vehicle, as soon as they move to gen III energy packs.
For now, I will stick to flat-six boxer motor 🤓
Current: 911 Carrera T - PPM9RU51
On order: 911 Targa 4S - PPDV8NY4

Agreed. Never be a first adopter and get sacrificed on the foreskin of technology ;)

Yes, but the interior of the EV.s (in general tend to be bigger), leg room etc. Also it’s an EV, I think go EV, if range is good or stay with ICE [non hybrid]. Cayenne also doesn’t do it for me - not even sure why.

Agree, I will take a look at the the Macan EV but as OP wished I can’t see real world 300 mile range just yet. There will be a lot of new development coming through by 2030 and beyond. May well be best to Go late and Go Wise.

Do read this article: it seems that 60% of Porsche Taycans sold, have had issues with battery management, including failed batteries, vehicle fires etc. according to a whistleblower in Porsche's HQ in Zuffenhausen. Not sure I'd chance buying one .

That article has been torn to shreds on the Taycan forum. Imagine if there was 60% engine failure on a macan - it would be all over these boards...not a peep about any such issues on the Taycan forum

60% with battery issues?!!! 😅 I’m not sure who his whistle blower is, but if Porsche could cover up that size of problem then they’d make more money consulting for governments than selling cars 😂
