AUTOCAR - 26 Jan edition - reports that "SUVs fuel growth for premium brands".

For Porsche it states global sales exceeded 300,000 cars of which:
1st Macan = 88,362
2nd Cayenne = 83,071
3rd Taycan = 41,296
Total for these = 212,729

So the Macan took nearly 30% of total global sales.

By inference the combined sales of 911, Boxter and Cayman were less than Macan sales.

Not forgetting the Panamera. ;)

Yep, looks like, as has been said often, the bumper sales of SUVs enable Porsche to carry on making class leading sports cars. :D

And, am pretty sure that in 2021, the Taycan outsold the Macan in the UK. :geek:

How many Taycan were sold as private retail sales in the UK. I bet the majority were business purchases with the associated tax benefits. :ugeek:

I agree with you, Steve! Mostly ‘company cars’ for employees and the self-employed etc. You can’t blame them for taking advantage of tax incentives though! ;)
