So you charge your car up on a Tuesday night during peak demand (night time will become the new peak, cheap off-peak tariffs will be gone) and other already fully charged EVs in your neighbourhood will be technically helping you to do this.
Then the following night, your car batteries help recharge your neighbours up. And so it goes on, prematurely ageing your expensive battery pack in the process.

Brilliant.

We’re not getting all “Tesla-centric” are we Goron? 😂
First into the market but were never going to out R&D and out engineer the big manufacturers…
Just took someone like Musk to wake them up to the fact that EV’s are going to make a lot of money I think 🤔

Not really no. Never liked Tesla the company, or Musk or the cars, until the M3 matured.
Still don’t like the company or the man.

But the i4 is objectively a Frankenstein freak show. i3 is great.

No, I’m certainly becoming EV centric though, and want to see proper EV platforms and cars not lazy rehashes.

If you’re going to take an ICE car and do an EV conversion / restomod, start with a better car BMW!

Maybe but I’ve had loads of BM’s including Alpinas and the 440i was comfortably the best of the lot!
Quick, good looking and hatchback practicality etc. I think I’m in the school that likes the idea of EV power plant but I really don’t want a contrived body shell designed to showcase that it’s electric…
I4 works for me and would be the current car to get me into EV 😊

Fully agree.

BMW made a huge leap in with the i3 and i8 back in 2014 and then lost their shirts on the investment and subsequently lost their bottle and left Tesla to take the lead. BMW weren’t the first company in history to do this. Incidentally I also lost my shirt on the i8 which depreciated at £25 a mile but that is what happens with being an early adopter of new technology  and so I will wait to see if anyone can catch up with Tesla.
