An update: I raised a case last Monday to Porsche UK (no live traffic info on PCM map) and hadn't heard anything back, so just rang them. They tell me they have heard and received a number of similar complaints recently and so raised a case to Germany. The developers are looking into it, but they confirmed it is not working for a number of Gen 3 cars - I didn't ask if it was for all, or just those after a certain date. They are working on a fix that will be rolled out asap. They currently don't know if the rollout of the fix can be remotely, or whether we will have to visit the OPC.
Secondly, I raised the point on Monday about no way to operate the Remote Services via their My Porsche app. They have now told me that the My Porsche app does not currently support Remote Services for the Macan - and several other models!! They don't know when it will (typical agile app dev - release one feature at a time in the order they think we would want to use them - not wait and release everything at once!)! It's a shame they haven't advised their OPC's of this. They have agreed to refund the Remote Services cost - £99 - but via a credit to use at an OPC - they can't refund to the credit card used as that was charged by Vodafone! You can't make this sh!t up!
If you want a refund, you will need to speak with Porsche UK.

Hi!
What Remote Services are you looking to be available on the My Porsche App?
I have asked questions in here and to the OPC about what information I should be able to view and at what, if any cost. Mixed answers received from both members here and the OPC
Initially enquired on day of handover that I would need to register. Did that; no cost. Sent the code that was generated during the process. No data beyond a render of my car and the VIN at that point.
Spoke to the ‘expert’ at the OPC. He told me that I would need to pay for a subscription before they would ‘activate’ my car, and then I would be able to view information provided by the level of contract I had taken out. Miffed, so left it there. Still no other data visible on the My Porsche App.
Had to take the car back to have a strange noise rectified and during the call to set that up, I asked about activating my account again. I was told to make sure I took both Tracker fobs in the car and that it would be setup! Hmmm! I wasn’t sure what they would ultimately do. I gave them the same code generated at first registration. Lo and behold, I now have visibility of journey, location, fuel status, range and general vehicle health. The send to car nav now works. Nothing paid to either Porsche or Vodafone.
My point being, I guess, that OPCs don’t actually give consistent information about anything to do with the PCM/connectivity. They should take a leaf out of Apple’s customer service and aftercare with their specialist and detailed product knowledge being held by certain well-trained/informed staff (my experience of Apple, at least).
If you were referring different Remote Services, please accept my apology and rambling.
