Yes, the red calipers would have to be replaced with black ones - which - (I'm pretty sure as I've recently placed an order for an S in Volcano) was a no cost option before this came out. It's now £581...
I think Black calipers was always a £581 option. They certainly were when I ordered my GTS last July.

It's not just a rip, it's a cynical rip.
Black calipers are usually standard and it is red that you have to pay for.

In fairness the base Macan has black calipers at least on the front (the back are partly black and partly metal). They are not gloss black embossed with the logo in white though and this is probably the cost point.
I do think there is little difference in cost to Porsche though between red and black…

Just as there is little difference to Porsche between flat black or white paint, and Miami, Carmine, Crayon etc! ;) But hey, folks are willing to pay, so good luck to them! :)

I recall back in the '70s Suzuki used to just have one colour per year for some (all?) their bikes. CRM will have a similar effect clearly labelling the final MY ICE Macans. Good or bad? Discuss........

Back in the 70s and 80s black paint was always an extra cost. We were expected to believe it was manufactured using some rare mixing techniques involving ground down hoof clippings from only one type of Nepalese goat that had to have been reared within the shadow of Mt Everest, or something like that.

Now, black is free and the profiteering has moved on to metallics, or in Porsche's case, Crayon and Carmine.
Stupid aren't we.
