You can’t possibly drive a damage repaired car - intolerable…PorscheMack wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 1:24 pm
I don't think it's that bad but as soon as the repairer finds out it's going through the Insurance the £'s are added on. They have no idea whether the inner door frame is buckled, they are just guessing. My local body shop will repair for £1,200 and they work on high value cars, including Bentleys. If you are referring to the "Subframe" of the actual car then there's no way that this has been damaged.

Hey, I'm not shifting it because of a repair, that's unimportant to me as it will be done and after a couple of weeks forgotten about.Jon A wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 3:29 pmI wasn’t being serious Mack, it’s only superficial, only you (and the forum) will know when they fix itPorscheMack wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 3:21 pmI never become too attached to my cars. But with this car my usual 2 year itch has come early

Frankly it's a £50-60k car in £80k clothing cos it's a Porka. I'll probably test the used car market before year end and if I can achieve near or more than purchase price I'll move it on before the bubble bursts for good.
