Have I missed anything essential from my GTS spec?
Sports package in the future will see lots of people hunting for, I think it’s great value for what you get.

This is very true! And helps keep them special, and different. The very reason I enjoyed my Alpinas and Porsches in the past and find generic cars quite tediousWing Commander wrote: ↑Wed Jun 15, 2022 6:25 pm Give a dozen of us a GTS to buy, with £12,600 in options, and you’ll get 12 pretty different Macans!
Personally, I'm in agreement with the comments about PTV earlier: only really any bonus for track usage.
Otherwise, build looks good, but I'm with the lane change assist which I've never had before, but found incredibly useful in the demo I had for a weekend during night driving in foul weather on the motorway: Macans do have some bad blind spots. Collapsible spare wheel is also a good call: had it on my SD, and never had to use it: but great for peace of mind.
Bose is worth the money if you're an audiophile, and improves the bass response no end if nothing else! Heated screen: no use to me as it's garaged, and I'd just use the fan blower if necessary, but can definitely see an advantage if the car is outside during winter.
These cars are all about personal choice: enjoy the experience
Best, Ade

I've done farrrr too much reading about PTV+ and have landed that it is worth it for road usage if you want that 'smaller than it actually is' feeling from the Macan that a lot of journalists praise the car for. PTV seems to directly contribute to this with increased turn in, etc. But its one of those things people will argue back and forth on.
I would ditch the heated screen - personally I'm never driving anywhere in that much of a rush that I can't wait 5 minutes for any ice to clear from the vent heater. It only means more cost when the screen inevitably gets a stone chip.
I'd also ditch the logo door lights. I find it insulting these are so expensive, and you can add aftermarket versions for like £25 from ebay by the looks of things. Possibly the dumbest expense on the entire thing!
I would add some tech. ACC and lane change assist for sure.

ACC is fine but can be annoying if you have to overtake at short notice as can slow you down just before you switch lanes. You'll get used to it eventually though but can be adjusted for distant car distance recognition which helps a bit

Yeh i prefer normal cruise, maintain your speed. Had ACC on my Golf R and it was so annoying.PorscheMack wrote: ↑Thu Jun 16, 2022 4:27 pm ACC is fine but can be annoying if you have to overtake at short notice as can slow you down just before you switch lanes. A lot of varying replies thank you all for your input, I’m going to have a couple of different variations and make a choice for Saturday.

Evening everyone, I locked In my final spec today which I’m told is due for delivery on 28th of October to the dealership.
My dealer managed to get me up the que significantly as they had a cancelled order from a gentlemen relocating to Singapore. (Placed my deposit in January 22).
After careful consideration taking into account a lot of your comments I decided to remove some items from my original post, mainly due to the cost aspect.
So here she is my final spec locked in as the finance APR is due to rise, if I change my spec the rate will go up.

Thanks Peter, we spent many hours debating our final spec. It came down to ordering what we really needed for our day to day use whilst trying not to go too OTT.
