Are there any indications as to how long the Macan ICE will remain in production, seeing as the GEN3 will be the final version?

Wow, that would be a lot sooner than I expected.

My expectation is Model Year 24 will be the last ICE's. So I expect no ICE's made say after August 2024. I expect Eu7 emission standards to drive this. I expect MY24 Macan S and base will be EV's

Was going to add that July 2024 is the date for the next wave of EU safety legislation to cut in. All new cars built after this date need to have automatic driver aids installed and this will need type approvals so think it is a natural cut off. It has already been the case since July 2022 for newly approved designs but GenIII escaped this.

IMO the ISA Requirements will effectively kill any chance of a Gen 4 ICE Macan.

With the mandatory introduction of the ISA system there will be no point what so ever in owning a high performance car that is designed to comply with the Regulations.

Put your foot down and yes you get great acceleration but the speed limiting function will intervene at posted speed limits.

So its 70 max on the Mways which should be interesting if not a tad dangerous, and a max of 60 on the open road.

Looks like a nice A to B Cruise will become a popular pastime for ex Petrol heads with new cars.

Only if they forget to switch it off! It is like stop/start in that the EU regs say it must default to on when you start the car but you are of course free to turn it off after that.

Not according to the Germans. They’re voting against Europes 2035 ban ;)
