Comfort access door lock

I have a question regarding the locking element of the door via the door handle sensor.
Sometimes it locks instantly, the moment I put my thumb on the indent, it locks, very much like my previous BMW’s. Then other times I can have it on the sensor for 4-5 seconds before it will eventually lock? More often than not it’s always takes a while to lock and you’re stood there looking like a tit trying to lock the car.

Anyone any ideas or experiences on this?

Did exactly the same on the demo Macan I had. Was one reason I didn’t spec it among many.

I’ll give it a go and report back. Interestingly when I was over at Cheshire Oaks OPC they didn’t really know how to operate it consistently either.

For the last 3 years I’ve closed the drivers door and as I walk past the rear door brush the handle with the back of my hand and I can’t recall it ever not locking.
